really bad services ordered timber from Sheffield,it promised me it will come on Friday I stayed all day at home waiting for delivery missed wage and don't give any call to warn me it wasn't coming and brought next week on Wednesday and it is the wrong size and now and no one is answering calls and when they answer they decline straight away it normally should be replaced to friendly staff.I cant understand how the people work the other thing if you try call after 4.20pm they never answer just declining
Turned up to Jewson Bracknell to pick up mini digger to be told can’t have it by an incompetent tool hire member even after on the phone they had two in stock

I've ordered from Jewsons three times now and there have been problems every time. Despite my better judgement I ordered some materials on May 31st to be delivered on June 4th. When it was clear they were not going to show I called through to the store. They said that I might get them after the weekend and then started making up the order over the phone. They seemed to be annoyed that I had been able to do this as a large number of the items were not even in stock. Therefore I cancelled, and it has taken a few days of repeated calls to obtain a refund, although the advisors I spoke to were efficient and polite.
I'm not going to use Jewson any more. The occasional error is understandable but three times have not been able to carry out the work I needed to. I get the impression that the store sets the large building orders as a priority and smaller household orders like mine are held back.
Ordered online in Bristol; all items in stock unlike two other companies i tried. Date given for delivery and arrived on that date at 11.40am. Driver very friendly. I have always found the staff at the Ashton Bristol branch to be helpful and polite whenever I have visited. I was contacted by Email by the driver to say he was arriving but being old i would have preferred a telephone call but this was no real issue; they delivered what I wanted and when I asked for it
Lots of swearing, lovely for my 12 yr old daughter to listen to.

Don't deal with warning ! They forge signatures on deliveries and charge if you have an account full list price despite what they quote you and nobody I mean nobody wants to sort it out . Even when you give written proof of quoted prices still no one wants to help. Then you get treated like a invoice dodger and then legals, unbelievable . Utter hassle and even when discounts given they're not that cheap. Deal with another merchant and pay cash , you know where you are then
Not impressed. Out of the companies ive used for materials (Selco, Wickes, Alsford etc) Jewson are the ones that consistently let me down with no communications at all. They failed to turn up on the day booked for delivery twice in a row. No communications to let you know they are not coming, or when they will turn up. Maybe its just the Epsom branch but its annoying. 2 stars because actually when you go to the yard they are very helpful its just the delivery service and lack of comms lets them down and the general iffy availability of items
Ordered timber from southend Branch, 90% of it was bent as a banana, also asked for firring strips was told Wednesday, now writing this Tuesday evening.... still haven't arrived. Job delayed for a week due to this, rang multiple times assured it was on route for it to never appear... Just after setting up a new trade account and looking to continue business, you'd think they would look after you a little more. Little to say I'm certainly taking my business elsewhere.
Always a pleasure to shop at this branch.Staff are friendly in shop and outside in the yard. Martin and Chis outside make a good team.In shop Joe and Barry provide an excellent service the new member Madie is a bubbly young lady, that is a credit to the company and it must help other female shoppers, to relax, walking up until now a very male environment

Good customer service. Not always cheapest but generally happy to quote and reliable whenever I have used them.
The coulsdon branch has really let me down
The coulsdon branch has been my husband’s place to go for the last 10+yrs when on a building project their driver Chris is always friendly and early to every delivery he definitely goes out of his way.
The office staff are great Barry is my favourite nothing ever seem to much trouble.
But I’m afraid that we will not be returning as they have a young lady now working for them that is far to forward with the male customers for an example we came in together last week to see her dancing around the warehouse with a young male member of staff which I found uncomfortable and very unsafe.
Another time she approached myself and my husband and was flirting with him with me stood there I understand that some men may find that a nice selling point but I did not and I was quite upset with the whole thing.
Maybe she could do with a course on customer service to be a more professional when dealing with the men.
I have used the tool hire at their Watford depot for many years as well as other merchants and I have to say that Jewsons win every time. Best prices and Matt is fantastic to deal with. My brother also uses Matt and swears by him, would recommend to anyone looking for tool hire in the Herts/Bucks area.
Only thing I would suggest improving is the new website which tells you they have everything in stock which isn't a true reflection of their actual stock levels.
We are battling for a refund on 3 shower boards which cost in excess of 400 pounds. They had failed a couple of weeks after being fitted as per products instructions by a qualified plumber who was fitting our new bathroom. The boards have a locking system which clicks in place and then sealed. Water had got in behind and warped the boards from bottom up. Jewsons sent a man from the shop to check them and take pictures, then they sent a man from the board suppliers whom agreed they were faulty and they had experienced this problem previously. Then they wanted a written statement from the plumber who fitted the boards detailing all materials used to fix them in place (which we had bought the recommended products in jewsons when buying the boards)and how he had installed them including his personal details. My husband is being led on a merry dance. Been down to the shop again today taking all the info which they also have stored on their database. They were due to phone a 14.00, still no call. I know we have had a lockdown, but this has been going on since January. My bathroom smells foisty and damp, we can smell as soon as we open the front door. The walls behind the boards are now damaged and we have water marks on the other side of the wall. Worst thing we have ever done using this company. My advice is stay away!!!!! Terrible customer service, I wish I could leave a 0 star and below option.
